Assessment and Reporting

As a school, we assess student learning in a whole variety of ways, including diagnostic and anecdotal data.  This helps us continually improve our teaching methods and learning styles according to the needs of both students and classes.

In terms of reporting, we report back to parents in a wide range of ways:

  • At the end of Semesters 1 and 2, parents receive summative reports of their child's progress.
  • We provide parent information evenings and parent-teacher interviews during the year.
  • In direct conversations between parents and teachers.  The best way to know how your child is progressing is to have regular conversations with their teacher.  All teachers share email addresses with parents, all classrooms are open for interaction with parents and we strongly encourage the parent-teacher partnership.
